Need internet from house to detached garage for home office

I'm starting a work-from-home job in a couple weeks. I need to set up an office in a detached garage. It's about 60ft (straight line) from the modem/router. I have Verizon Fios internet.

My thought is: Get a long Ethernet cable and just run it through the attic until it surfaces at the end of the house, run it on top of a patio cover, to the garage, and finally down to the computer.

I'm guessing WiFi won't cut it, even getting an extender. The connection needs to be stable. My job is in sales and will be doing screen sharing with clients.

Router: Arris NVG368MQ

Any other options? Is there a specific ethernet cable to use?
I don't think I need to call Verizon to do this?

Any tips help - thank you!

Ya, I would definitely run cable to your garage. If you need WiFi in your garage you can attach an Access Point to the network there.
