Me and my friends are making a movie, but when ever I try to send it to my computer, the quality is never crystal clear like on the camera. I've tried several codecs like xvid, divx, windows... but not even 4000 kbps has the clear quality that I want. Is there a certain setup I need to do or what?

ieee1394 wire is the clearest biggest picture you can get most likely. i use a belkin ieee1394 wire connected to my computer from my camcorder and i use windows movie maker and its awesome quality.
the wire cost me 40 bucks store retail price but im sure u can get it cheaper online.
