fan controller for videocard

Well I just did a google search for VGA fan controller, and it seems like it is a possibility. Some of the products list VGA fan and thermal readings and it says it is supposed to monitor up to 4 fans and temps... but doesn't specifically list the VGA. Although, I'm pretty sure the temp monitor and fan are controlled from that same small 4pin connector, so it should work.

i think i would just like to cut that connector off and put a 3 pin on it that would work with my existing fan controller. if any one knows how to this i'm all ears.
