Dynamic to Static IP

Is there anyway i can change from a dynamic IP to static, ive seen it somewhere on the net before on how to do it but its been so long and i cant remember the full way how, so can any 1 help me out here.

You can do it through Internet Options / Connections / Lan Settings.

this would let you configure IE's network and proxy settings.


i believe what the poster is looking for is in control panel | network connections | Lan Connection Properties | Tcp/Ip properties

change auto assign to manual and set your ip, subnet mask, and gateway

Yeah werd that will work. I was under the impression that the adapter bindings where the same... I must be misstaken.
