I reinstalled Windows 7, everything was going good, but my drive was missing. I went into Disk Manager and saw this:

There was no drive letter associated with it. (At the time there was no data on it) I formatted it again and it was recognized so I threw all my docs on it. But when I restarted I got a "Missing NTLDR" error. I don't know what happened but I couldn't boot into windows.

So I reinstalled Windows. Lo and behold same problem.

Here's my question: How can I get Windows 7 to non destructively see my drive?

Please read the very first page of the Win7 FAQ thread. Under the question:

Question: Why doesn't my XP install show up in Computer?
Answer: Check the Disk Management, (Start>Run>compmgmt.msc>Left Pane under Storage select Disk Management) check to make sure the XP install is assigned a Drive Letter. If not right click and assign one to it.

All you had to do was assign a drive letter. What you did was destroy the boot files. Look at the screen shot. The drive that is "missing" is the system active drive. This is the drive that contains your boot files. This is why every time you do this process, your getting the same results.
