Downloading youtube video or audio?

sorry if this doesnt belong here. Ive been curious about this for a while. Is there a way to download youtube videos? is there a way to just rip out the youtube video's audio? let me know

There are plenty of ways to download youtube videos. Firefox has several extensions for this purpose alone. As for getting just audio from them. Well you would have to do that yourself.

There are also free services that extract just the audio from youtube videos too. Again, just have to search for them.
Couldn't really tell from the post if you wanted the audio or the video and which you wanted to scrap.

ah man, vixy doesnt work. Okay, time for me to go back to firefox.

I just watch the whole youtube clip, then go to the temporary internet folder and look for the file. ctrl c, ctrl v. then if you've got k-lite installed media player classic plays it.
To get the audio I use Audacity.
