Doom 4 announced, id Software hiring - Joystiq
Not quite surprised, hopefully it will live up to the series better than Doom 3, which IMO was still a good FPS, just didn't really feel like Doom.
Just got into playing Skulltag not to recently coincidently. Just go to Skulltag.com and download the program, allows you to play WAD files (such as DooM I, II, and Final DooM, Hexen, Heretic, and Strife) with an enhanced DooM engine, full control configuration (including free mouse look, like modern FPS's), play online with up to 16 people, fun if you ever got into the games. You just have to have the WAD files, which aren't included but can be "acquired" pretty easily *cough*piratebay*cough*.
