Ok, pretend you have no spending limit. you are creating a home network capable of running 2 laptops, 2 desktops, a HTPC, and network attached storage. what would you go with ALTOGETHER? router, laptops, pc's, the HTPC, house audio, network printer. this is for a school project, and I already have alot picked out. I will post a reply to give an example

D-Link DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit Router
Alienware Aurora laptops
Home built pc (gaming ect)
office pc (perhaps dell or Mac)
Brother MFC-9440CN MultiFunction Color Network Laser Printer
Systemax Mini-Vault NAS 1000 Network Storage
Alenware Hangar 18 HTPC
Bose Lifestyle 48 Surround Sound
I just want to see what you all come up with

any bose speakers are wayyyyy overpriced. I'd go with Paradigm or Polk Audio. Yamaha 7.1 reciever. Those bose sets lack a good midrange, or any at all. I would only use them for classical music.

I'd go with D-Link DGL4300 108Mbps GamerLounge Wireless-G Gaming Router
with 4-Port Gigabit Switch. I dont think wireless N has really proven to be anything spectacular compared to wireless G, plus you get a gigabit speeds if you're hardwired to the router.
