career path with networking

Is there entry level jobs dealing with routers and servers or do I have to start out in IT and work my way up to networking....I'm getting my AAS IN networking and not sure if I'll even be able to land a job with that degree...

Its possible that those positions exist, just a matter of discovering the need in a company and finding a mutually beneficial arrangement.

There are plenty of junior networking positions in companies. It really helps to have networking qualifications such as CCNA, Network+, or similar before you try for such positions.

Your best bet would be to just get general IT experience. During that time study networking on your own. Start out with the Net+ then go after CCNA.
