cant use internet now :(

i wont be on TF for awhile, well 1 week at the most.

My computer doesnt have an internet connection, i have tried both wired and wireless connections...they dont work.

My parents computer works, and is on the same network, but i have to use my friends PC to use TF, cause my parents are snobs.

Why would my computer not work, even though its on the same router?

BTW my router is a D-Link 802.11G 4-port wireless router.

first check for a network connection in my network places properties and make sure the status is connected. check the ip; prolly will start 192. can you ping your router by ip? can you ping outside your router by ip?

all else fails, shut everything off, including modem, and turn it back on.

Do you get LAN? If so, just set up a proxy on their PC, and than you will be able to post on your PC through your parents.
