Can viruses or porn make your pc run hotter?

I was making conversation on an online game, and this guy was talking about his computer.

First of all, I have no idea what kind of setup he had because he didn't give much detail, but he said overall he spent 3k on it, he had a pair of graphics cards in it, some liquid cooling system, and 6 gigs of ram.

Just out of curiosity I asked him what his pc runs at (temp wise). He said oh well, I got like two dozen viruses and I'm too lazy to delete them and I have a lot of porn, so it runs kind of hot. I was like, what's it run idle? Oh, not so good, like I said, porn and viruses...

I was so confused yet baffled I just said oh, that's cool... and that was it.

Rofl that's got to be one of the worst excuses for PC's running hot. He might just be one of the ones that thinks that your PC is actually alive, and because it has that effect on him it has the same on his PC...

Then again, I'm with the dumb kid off school sick suggestion. 6GB of RAM, Dual Graphics cards and 12 viruses? If he's not talking out of his rear end then that machine should be given a better home. Like mine.

If you have alot of virus's, your CPU will be busy all the time meaning it will never idle. And if you have alot of porn, you most likely have spyware and viiri

Assuming the kid bought a pre-built, you can't have 6GB of RAM.

Though, you could buy a server mobo that has dual processor support and 8GB RAM support... [trails off daydreaming]
