I have a IBM Lenovo T61 laptop running WinXP pro SP3. When i shut it down it either hangs or BSOD with the following error:

Stop: 0x0000000A (0x00000000, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x80545432)

Any ideas?

Most likely its a driver issue. Update them to the most recent.

**EDIT**
Or, if you recently installed new drivers. That could be your problem. Uninstall them and reinstall, but not the version you installed first.

Thanks. i will try that when the salesman will part with his pc. I hate working on them when they hover over you and watch you.

Every stop error i get is different. makes a little hard to pin point no.

Now it's a 0x0000007E

Ran both tests no errors. just for the heck of it i put in new Ram. Same issue.
Uninstalled last new program. No help.
I did driver verification and recieved an error: wmiacpi.sys (WDM Driver error 20E) wmiacpi.sys.152fat F71A452F
Then i did a repair install. Still no help.

I guess i'll go through every driver and update....:(

OOOOOOHHHHHYYYYEEEAAAAHHH. After beating my head offf my desk for two days i finally got it.
I updated everything i could todayand even flashed the bios to no help.

when suddenly it dawned on me to select SHOW HIDDEN DEVICES in the device manager when there it was a Yellow Exclamation point on a mouse pointer device. Didn't even think of it earlier since Lenovo T61 has 2 on board mouse and the salesdude uses a usb mouse. Well, one of the disabled mouse drivers were corrupt. I updated it and had 5 succesful shutdowns with no errors.

Solved close this thread please.
