booting off a cd

I have set my bios to have my CD Drive to boot first. When I put a bootable CD in my cd rom drive my system boots to my desktop and I can't figure out why.

Can someone please help out finding out why?

Here is the link Partition Logic - Installation from which I downloaded partition logic which I unzipped and then used poweriso to burn it. I also, tried gparted but that wouldn't work either. I tried my windows install cd and that WORKED.

since the windows cd worked, i would say the issue is with the burn.

i usually use The Official ImgBurn Website for my burns


you could try the cds in another computer to be sure

make sure your cd drive is first in the boot order, or go into the boot menu to select it. If that doesn't work, then it sounds like a bad burn
