I found that my issue was that %computername% is case sensitive, so it saw that MMDC or %computername% weasnt equal to mmdc
now i get it to work, however it just opens up a new cmd window with the title bar says v:\nero6.exe /An
and the prompt is c:\documents and settings\administrator\desktop>_
it's waiting for a new command and nothing is being installed, no hard drive or network activity.
EDIT: it is working now without the quotes around v:\nero6.exe /An
