does having a really high NB frequency help your scores? they are running @ 4.5, thats crazy high.

the other day, i accidently set my nb mult to 15(9 is default) with my fsb @ 240, it did not like that at all, had to clear cmos to get it to even load up bios.

also, with my NB clocked over 2.2, it would make my system a lil unstable, lots of flickering on my screen, i know this board isnt the best.

I'm not a fanboy, I will buy whatever is the best at the time of purchase. Right now that is i7 because I would never use extreme cooling.

Also this is more of a victory for ati than amd, the previous record was held by a 5.2ghz i7 with a cpu score of 9,036 which is better than the 6.6ghz phenom 2's 8,532.
using the same cards (2 x 4870 X2's at stock), the Phenom II system got higher SM 2.0/3.0 scores than the i7 system.
With the cards at stock, it can't just be the GPU's.

In fact, Team Finland said they only got some hundreds of points increase from GPU overclocks.
