Amarok Config Annoyance

I'm trying to use Amarok on Ubuntu 8.04 to manage the music on my mp3 player (cheap off-brand 1gb). It doesn't show up under portable devices.
When I make a playlist and drag it to the player, it doesn't copy the files, it simply moves them.
Is there any way to make it copy the files instead of moving them?

Does your mp3 player show up as a USB drive on Linux in the Computer location/your Desktop? A lot of those off brand MP3 players (yours is probably similar to my fake iPod one, an s1mp3) just show up as flash drives when you plug them in.

The only thing I've seen different is an iPod, it shows up as a hard drive but there's no music on it. Rhythmbox/Amarok can find the music though using some special protocol or something.
