3500+ or opteron 165 dual core

right now I have a AMD athlon 3500+ and I do a lot of multitasking and it seems that I have been getting a lot of loading screens and a few freezes going from program to program, I was wondering would I see an improvement if I got this

I always have multiple programs running at the same time and I also like to play games. I don't have much money at all right now so I don't have many options, and my mobo is purrdy crappy so I can't really overclock much but I think I might be able to get a little more out of it if I really needed to. Do you think it would be worth it? thanks

Yeh the opty 165 will do really well. The extra core an cache will help ther rest of you system alot. But you should overclock it, cause they can get to 3Ghz fairly easily i think.

go for the opty...you wont regret it...i love the opterons, one of AMD's best turnouts me thinks.
