Yes, use Ctrl + C to close the console.
Clicking the X box in upper right hand corner can sometimes kill the WU. So don't do it that way.

Yea, when the console is the main window open, Ctrl + C will close it.

Well, I decided to join now things are broken in a bit. How long does it take before the sig will work and when will I be added to the team? I have one up and running now, 20% in the last few hours done of a 500000.

If you entered the team number correctly you should be added to the team the next time stanford updates it's statistics. Maybe 3 or 4 hours?? I really don't know. But it won't be too long.

I tried to add the F@H stat sig, but it does not want to work right. Guess I will give it some time. Also I am using the beta version for 4 cores. The 5.03 version would not work. So how do I know what is going on like time it will take to complete and finished WU's?

It really depends.
On quad cores. It can be anywhere to under 15 hours to over 18 hours.
On the Intel dual cores it can take anywhere from 23 Hours to 26 hours.
Of course you have to factor in overclocks.. My Q6600 finishes a WU about every 15 hours or so.
