I am still with XP fully updated, but I have a silly problem with Windows Media 11

I am getting a large build-up of recently played items that appear under the large MSN advertisement and cannot find a way of deleting them or finding the folder where thay can be found so as to delete them.

I have even wound back to Media 9 but this list always remains.

I have even tried resetting IE8 to default which removes toolbars and the like which then have to be re-installed

Right click in the top area. There the menu screen comes up. Select Tools>Advanced>Restore Media Library. This will remove all your items from your library and rebuild it. This should remove the items.
