This is weird.
A friend of mine purchased an ACER mini.
The sales person at the store told him it could be upgraded from 1GB to 1.5GB.
We opened it up ( it was a chore) and discovered that there was only one SO-DIMM slot. Weird and so my friend is under the impression that although it says that you can only add 512MB that you can actually add a 2GB stick. I say no.
What do you think?
I am no techie but I believe that the stick she has (which I didn't take a closer look at ) was a 512mb and that somehow there is more memory on the motherboard and that the only swapping would be on the SO-DIMM slot whose module would increase from 512MB to 1G making it 1.5GB.
