Default Windows 2004 media center

I am wanting to get this computer but my dad is saying that with all this stuff on this computer more could break. How reliable is this computer, is it known for parts breaking? Would you get a regular standard computer or this one if you had the money.

Please let me know what you think of it, if it is a good deal or if I should stay away from it.

Well for internet but I am probably going to watch TV on it, and record programs if I get it. I would also probably doing a little gaming on it since it has a decent graphic card.

in that case, build a pc that has the options that would give you all those features.

a video card with a tv tuner - for tv viewing.
get a big hard drive - to store your tv programs.

Well I would build my own computer but my dad doesn't want me to. I will end up paying half for this computer but do you think there would be problems down the road if I do get this computer? Would there be a chance of the machine breaking and I need to get new parts? Is this machine/comapny known for crappy parts?

*EDITED*
