Default nero + dvd re-writer

Hi. I have recently formatted my computer due to a windows software muck up.....my computer runs fine. I can play DVD's cds and everything but......when i try to burn a dvd using nero it does not detect my re-writer drive......any one got any ideas?

Upgrade Nero.
Upgrade the drive drivers.

yes you will have to upgrade nero to the latest version this can be found here
