Default Computer not detecting floppy or dvd-rom

Ok a while ago I had a problem with my computer not detecting my dvd drive. I thought it was just the drive, well I just installed a floppy drive in my computer and now it isnt detecting that either. What the heck is going on. Is there somthing wrong with my motherboard or somthing? I cant figure out why it isnt detecting either of those things. Although it does detect my sata hard drive.

Don't expect fault modes to follow some script, when the obvious don't work try the unobvious.

and btw, are the amish supposed to use computers anyways?
