4870x2's don't get that hot... you'll be fine, and have the option in the future for getting another one for quad fire

So crossfired 4870's would be more efficient than a 4870x2?

i think the 4870x2 performance slightly better due to less latency when communicating within cores

Later. Why would a 4850x2 be a better choice than a 4870x2? Possibly the gddr3?

A 4870x2 would surpass 2 4870s because the bridge between the cards is unnecessary as the 4870x2 has 2 cores on a card?

no... there is no advantage.. i really don't understand why he asked you to get that

the 4870x2 as of now is THE top dog in every way

Ahh, thank you for the confirmation. The 4870x2 is the best of the best right now. What is to come in the future? I also heard that the nvidia 260 can be clocked to meet 280 retail speeds. Is this true?

very true, i own both the core 192 and core 216, and i'm very pleased in both configured in sli

cs:s dust 2 1920x1080 8xQSAA 8xAF i never dropped below 160fps with 8 players

Ahh very well... Personally I don't care much for Counter Strike. I prefer the other HL2 mods like TF2 much more.
