Default Single core/7800GT or dual core/6800GT or GS

ok i have a choice to make about my new build. depends what happens on monday sets the date for my new PC. im not sure what would be a better system to get a dual core opteron 170 and a 6800GT or 6800GS or get a single core opteron 146 and a 7800GT. also the single core system wuld also only have 1gb of RAM while the single core system would have 2gb of RAM. im pretty sure the single core system would be better but could anyone give their opinions?

dont you mean the dual core system will have one gb of ram

Opteron 170

Opteron 146

hmm, i would go with well you might have to upgrade later anyways hmm thats a tough one, i would go with the single core, then you can upgrade your CPU later, that would be easier then upgrading your GPU and your ram later on
