Default intel phasing out 950 and lower i7s

has anyone else heard about this i just read it on a diff fourm and im curious of anyone else had heard this?

i read something that said intel is winding down production and that the are focusing exclusively on the Socket 1156 , and that this has been confirmed by mobo manufactures in their shift on their X58 mobos

it seems really counter productive to me but thats what they said on overclockers club

i read it on Overclockers club, but ive been looking into it more and it seems like they ended up just releasing then lynfeild i5 line and left the i7 line alone
