I'm having the same problem as you do with the locked bios
The answer would be to buy a new mobo? Or wait till we can build another PC?

Im just going to wait because the airflow in my case really sucks. Plus it only fits Micro atx. Atx is the way to go with a mid to full tower case. But yeah the 260 runs 110 constant (seriously, constant) with all highest settings and 4AA

thanks for the ram advice, ill try something out

id take out yoru stoc ram considerign you run 32 bit anyway. also if its ddr not ddr2 then the 500mhz on teh balistix is normal.

Get rid of the stock ram. 2 gigs is plenty on XP and its 32 bit anyways. You'll probably get a performance increase since now you'll have faster ram.

yeah, either way all ram modules will be running at the same speeds, it wont have one at 500 and another at 266.

If you have two different speeds of the ram, all stick default to the slowest speed installed so he needs to take out the slower ram.
