How to buy a custom computer with bad credit
I am in need of a new computer, but I have poor credit. I know most of yall are gonna say wait and save, but I cannot as my computer is going as I type. I do not want a standard pre-customized computer, but I want to customize one myself due to the fact that I want it to last for a few years, not just 1 year. I also know a lot of yall are gonna say buy the parts and build it yourself, but I cannot do that unless I can get all the parts on financing as well. If anyone has any suggestions about where I can buy a custom laptop/computer or the parts for a computer with bad credit I would greatly appreciate it.

wait and save.

but in the meantime, try craigslist or a pawnshop. you can find deals, as long as you aren't expecting a whole lot.

Re: How to buy a custom computer with bad credit
Again, I cannot wait that long to buy it all at once because this computer is going as I type and I dont know how long it is going to last. And as for buying those ways I said, I need a custom computer so I know it will last. Anything there will either be a basic model or something older, which I do not need.

Try selling some things to get enough money.

Maybe borrow from friends or family?

Usually if your financing you'll end up paying more in the long run.

Re: How to buy a custom computer with bad credit
Unless you have a credit card to finance that way you will have to wait anyways. It typically takes 4-6 business days to be approved for a card like the Dell card and then takes a few weeks to get it. Then again, you need good credit or high income to get something like that.

Your two middle sentences kind of contradict each other, and poor credit + financing contradicts too. The only thing I can think of is try applying for the Newegg credit to build yourself or the Dell credit. Here again, you need good credit or high income. Last thing is like I mentioned use your own credit card.

Edit: You could always tell us what's wrong with your current computer to actually fix it. Would be the smarter route.

Re: How to buy a custom computer with bad credit
Some custom pc specialist stores like Cyberpower or DinoPC offer a Finance option, sorta like a loan, I would imagine having poor credit wouldn't matter to much, as long as you can prove you can pay it back it could be possible you could get a mini-loan From a pc store, but you have to expect to pay generally at least 70% more, For example if you chose a 500 Dollar PC you could have to pay up to double that in the end, so my question is, is it really worth it? Given your current situation there's not much you can do besides wait untill you get more Bucks.

Re: How to buy a custom computer with bad credit
I know I am gonna have to pay more in the long run, I have already considered that and as of right now it is worth it. And I have looked at cyberpower, but someone I know told me they are not good because they have gotten one from there before. However, I have not looked at DinoPC, do you know if they are any good? And as for whats wrong with my computer and trying to fix it, there is not fixing it. I have a laptop and a few of the components are just shot now, I have had it for quite some time now and it wasn't really upgraded much when I got it.

If that's how you Feel them go For it my Friend. I don't know what happened with your Friend but I'm assuming whatever happened was his Fault, you get what you ask For, in my eyes I don't see what wrong can come From that. Cyberpower are a huge company and often praised For their computers and stuff though. I cant personally recommend or give my insights because I've never has to get a loan. Two sites I was looking at before I chose to custom build we're DinoPC and PCspecilist, definitely check them out. If you do get approved For a loan or something you can get a Fairly decent computer For 400-500.

Re: How to buy a custom computer with bad credit
Thanks, I will definitely look at them and see what they have. And what had happened was when he got his computer it had a defective hard drive when he got it, which should have been found in testing befre it was shipped out. But I will definitely check out the other 2 sites.

Also, for DinoPC, I just looked at them and you have to be from the UK.

And the same thing for PCspecialist.
