Default $600 Computer

Alright, I put together a nice $500 build.. And now I want to see what i can get with $600. I'd like to stay as close to $600 as possible/$650 including shipping/tax... .

I was thinking maybe with a Q6600.... Or just stick with something that is atleast an E6550.

Im not sure what Mobo to get.. Something maybe 80-90 bux and a good overclocker.

Then An 8800GS or a 9600GT...

Im not really sure..

If someone could please help put me in the right direction... That would be great!

I will need everything for the tower (not keyboard, mouse, monitor ect.)

Thanks

9600GT and Gigabyte DS3L. Both are good and OC'able.

If your going to step up or not, get the 9600GT cz ur still gonna pay the extra cost and have a better card maybe u wont step up. It is the same if he is going to pay 50 now or later if your going to step up

That was your old build that you where looking at.

I recommend just changing the card to a 8800gs or 9600gt. You could also change some other stuff, like a bigger hard drive.

Oh and a different psu.

I agree w/ JDM on this one. You can save some more cash if you pick up an Allendale

why get an e6550 when you can get an e8400 for 30 more dollars?
just puttin that out there.
there's no way i'd pick an allendale over a wolfdale. ever. that's just me. well....maybe i would, since i like cheap cpus that overclock like crazy, lol.
but the 8400 will have a great overclock, run cooler, use less power, and has 3 x the cache.
if within your budget, i would get the 8400. actually, i'd get the e8500, but i aint in the market just yet.

Just get the e2180 its the allendale and can overclock like crazy! The e8400 is also out. Just go on tomshardware.com and search for an article about pentium dual cores. That thing kills it.

No personal experience with the q6600, but from what I hear it's a pretty sweet processor, esp. when overclocking .
