Default Need to upgrade old system...help needed..

Hey there, I need a lil help to upgrade my cusins comp.he's in europe and prices there are ridiculous, so I gotta get him something here, he's just too young to afford an upgrade now. he's runnin on :
AMD Athlon 25000+ 1,84 GHz
Palit GeForce 7600 GS
2 GB RAM
So u can see it's a lil "old". I'm on tight budget so maybe $400-500 if it's possible. Just cpu, vga and mobo, ram i can get on craigslist as there's tons of it. It's for a 19yr old kid so graphics are important but no SLI, I can save on mobo with no SLI enabled. I'm a laptop person myself and I don't follow pc parts that much so I need lil help here.
If we can use those stores for parts and prices I would b thankfull as I'm in Canada.
Newegg.ca - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!
NCIX.com - Canada's Premier Computer Store - Great Technology, Service and Selection.

No ram?

If his using the 2500+ chances are that his using DDR and not DDR2.

He said he can get ram from Craigslist, and it will have to be DDR2.
