Fan - Exhaust or Intake?

Best combination is to have an exhuast fan and an intake fan

While being true, the point is if you have an odd number of fans, there should be more exhaust than intake. [For optimum performance]

I've got 2 intake and 1 exaust. I'll be adding another exaust soon. And one of the intakes is on a fan controller so I only turn it on during gaming.

One intake in front, one on side
One exhaust on top and one in back
All 80mm fans. I know this really isnt relevant to first question but this is the setup i've found gets rid of hot air quickest.
