Dual core vs Core 2duo

hmm, i thought all non core2duo dual cores were D. my 2140 won't choke no matter how hard i tried, and i have seen the temp max at 36. are the celeron dual cores the D then?

Celeron Ds are single cores. The dual core Celeron is E1200, which is based on the Core architecture. Your E2140 is not a D. It's a Pentium Dual Core.

I don't think they are C2Ds because they only have 1MB of L2 cache. But they are based on the Core architecture.

they're based off the core architecture as well. They're just the e2xxx w/ less cache
