Default Budget Build *READ*

If anybody is just wanting a PC to fold for Tech-Forums, surf the internet, burn a CD, or do just the basics, you can build a PC for much less than what Dell charges.

I've got the whole build here, it is pretty crappy
But it does work, it's AMD, and it's only $199! $354 if you need a monitor.

Case W/PSU: Linkworld Black Case with 430W PSU: $25

Mobo/Processor/Video Set: PC CHIPS Athlon XP 1900: $70
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813185089

Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar 80GB: $42
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822144102

Memory: Kingston ValueRAM 256MB DDR: $22.49
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820161615

Optical Drive: LG 52X32X52 CD Burner: $17.50
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106042

Speakers: DCT Factory 2.1CH: $7
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16836131013

Input Device: Rosewill Wireless Keyboard/Mouse USB: $15
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16823201020

What do you guys think? Good for beginners just getting into computers?

That's why it's a budget build, the RAM is just adequate for an old lady to surf recipies

Operating system? I assumed people would use 2000 or XP that they already had. I guess I forgot to add it

B00mbocks: That is a cheap build, AFTER about $100 of rebates. And that video card is a joke, it won't even power XP. Integrated video would do better.
