Right now, 1680x1050. But I'll want a bigger monitor in the future (also to watch my blu-ray movies)

Budget is pretty much whatever I can afford, though obviously spending less = I have more money left.
I can probably afford a 5970 next week when I get paid (~$830). Or I can buy a 5870 now (~$510-520). I have about $700 now.

depending on what res you will be going to i would go with the 5970. That is most likely what i will be getting with my build in january. Gonna use it on a 1080p 32" tv most likely.

I've only had my 5970 for a 2 days now but I can tell you it is frickin awesome! It's pretty expensive but totally worth it to me.
