I can not get thunder bird to work I get this notice "Remote SMTP server has rejected address"

I can send mail but can not get mail to my inbox. I have vista as my OS and windows mail is what I am trying to aviod using.

Are you going thru your ISP or thru something like GMail or hotmail?

going through ISP. I set it up Just like windows mail. I use cable broad band in NYC.

Have you gone intot he settings for the account and make sure that your pop and smtp is setup correctly? Have you also made sure that you have checked for all the security settings and that you need?

Best option here is call your ISP. They should be able to help you make sure it is setup right for Thunderbird. Even on their website they might have it.
