Highly Critical Mac OS X Hole
A security researcher has published proof-of-concept code for an unpatched flaw in Mac OS X. Follow the link for more information.

The proof-of-concept code exploits a security hole in the way Apple's operating system handles disk image files, the researcher wrote on a blog devoted to a 'Month of Kernel Bugs' campaign which promises to reveal details of a new flaw in low-level software every day this month.

This one 'seems' dangerous... but expect it fixed by 10.4.9....
Completely obliterated in 10.5 ;)

So what have they decided to name THIS proof of concept virus? The Cha Cha slide?

^ We should start posting all the Windows viruses in the Windows section... :D

Wait, there are hundreds of thousands of them. ;)

Yeah, we get the point. It's possible to make viruses for Macs.

Of all four posts by Warez on this page, three are about proof-of-concept Mac viruses.

Crunch those numbers.

Well, you've gotta give him credit though.
I know I sure don't check up on the Mac Viruses - even if they are just proof of concepts- so I do appreciate the fact that Warez Monster is taking the time to post these :)

I think we all get the point that you can write a virus for a Mac running OS X.

The clincher is that no one in the this forum has had to take the time to write a billion page anti-spyware guide for OS X like Warez has personally done for Windows.
