wireless network adapter doesnt work please help!!

Well i have a robotics 802.11g wireless network bridge. It does not work. I use it on my friends computer when he brings it over. I used to have verizon DSL and it worked perfectly fine on any computer. I recently got verizon fios and now it does not work. When i plug it into any computer it says limited or no connectivity and i try but it does not detect a wireless network! any ideas?? i really want it to work..

Could you better describe the network topology?
Is this device trying to connect to a wireless router, or is it cabled to a router, and connecting to a host's wireless adaptor?

it is a wirless adapter trying to connect to a router in my other room, it says it is a local area connection and says nothing about wireless, i dont know how to make it work

What kind of wireless adaptor is it? USB? PCI? PCMCIA?
What model is the adaptor?
Are the drivers for said adaptor properly installed?

I don't know if it's true but i heard something about FIOS needing special hardware.

well on this computer im usinging a wireless adapter that i used b4 and it works fine

So u have a router from verizon and a bridge. does the connection work hard wired to the verizon router?
