I am currently running windows 7 ultimate ans she is running windows 7 professional.
I ran the network wizard last weekend and it said it couldn't complete because IPv6 was not enabled on both pc's.
I tried to enable them, my mothers gateway connected directly to the cable modem and router enabled it.
My computer refuses to do even when telling it to enable.
It says my network adapter can not support it ?
My network adapter is brand new from japan it's called EDUP, wtf is this computer refusing to network properly ?
I am almost tempted to get network magic 5 and be done with it. >_>

Moved to proper area. We have a whole section for Network issues.

You don't really need to run the network wizard, that thing has always been broken :)

What's the current setup? e.g. straight pc-pc connection? Or pc-router-pc? etc

1st disable zone alarm to ensure it is the problem. It most likely is.

If so create a trusted zone.

Well technically it's not zonealarm, even before I could get the **** network on the windows 7 pc to see it still said I needed to enable Ipv6.
Anyway I found a copy of network magic standard 4.2 on google, luckily that version was enough to supprt windows 7 to an extent.
Network magic did point out to me that there is something wrong with my mothers pc that started up all this crap, but somehow fixed it on it's own.
