Timing Out

I'm attempting to flash my wrt54g with dd-wrt, but everytime i try i keep getting timed out. Any suggestions?

It times out no other time? Does the connection only time out when you try the firmware upgrade?

Are you sure its the right file?

Okay, this is where it becomes confusing. I am halfway through the setup of dd-wrt, the final install file requires installation through the tftp doo-hickey. The router is not responding to anything and will not carry a connection. I have to unhook the router and rehook the modem directly to the comp to get online. Surprisingly, it is supposed to do this. in the command prompt i type in tftp (ip address) put (file name) and it is supposed to work again with the files, but instead it just times out.
