I am in the market for a new pc and someone told me that I need to know the difference between a celeron or a pentium four processor and I don't know the difference. Please forgive I am not a techie guru by any means and I need some help in making the best decision before I buy my new pc. Help!

celeron is cheaper but has a smaller cache 128k?
p four has the larger cache, 256k or 512k?
older pentiums 1 &2 used to only run at 1/2 the clock speed where the celeron ran at tis full speed. But i dunno if this is still true

Yup, Celorons have a smaller L2 cache , a different architechture, and a slower FSB.Unless you're doing anything but word procssing and surfing the internet, don't get a Celeron.
