Play Crysis in DX 10 Mode Under XP

Wow.. They unlocked Crysis to have similar if not the same effects in DX9.
Thank god I didn't upgrade..

wow and apparently you get better fps in xp under 'very high settings' than you do in vista's settings.

To save you guys a little time, I read through several forums and threads. I'm posting what other people find that is different.

"I can see a SLIGHT difference. The vegetation in DX9 still is using SLIGHTLY darker and blurred textures, while in DX10 they are more crisp."

i noticed in the gun texturing that it is alot less detailed in dx9.

I wouldn't say ALOT less detailed. But now that you mention it, it does seem to catch my eye.

I'd trade DX10 for DX 9 + 20 more Fps anyday.

I'll guarantee you EA will fix this when the game is officially released, but this is great news for now.
