What driver do you use to play FEAR?

I have an 8-series nVidia graphics card and when I use the 162.18 or 152.88 drivers the game gives me BSOD when I make the settings Maximum. The game runs on HIGH but it won't run on Max.

What drivers would you recommend using?

The latest drivers should work.
Just make sure you do a clean install of the drivers.
DO you play on vista or xp?

I play on XP. I don't get why it won't work. The 162.18 drivers which I tested were nVidia's latest.

Type that error on google and see if anyone else has the problem?
i dont have an 8 series card, sorry.
I have vista and xp...games on xp work better.
On vista, its horrible.

I underclocked my CPU back to stock. I underclocked my GPU back to stock. Nothing helped.

It seems that the GPU can running everything on max except AA. If I have it any value above "OFF" it'll crash. Soft shadows works in the game though. The error I get when enabling AA is:

did you do a clean install?
Did you use driver cleaner to clean out the files then re install the driver?

Went to add/remove. Clicked Uninstall for "nVidia Drivers"

Then I used Driver Cleaner Pro to clean nVidia files

Rebooted and ran Driver Cleaner Pro again. And then installed the new driver.

Knowing that it's impossible to set antialiasing in FEAR's options, I went into nVidia's control panel and manually set antialiasing to max when FEAR loads.

And it works

Good work around. Hopefully this is issue will be fixed with the next driver release. I'm sure FEAR isn't the only game affected.

well i have graw2
and i realised a lot of people who are playing it on vista cant enable dynamic shadows.

I turned it off and it worked.
I ran it on xp with it on and on high settings and it still works with better fps.

I just dont understand why they release gfx cards, but bad drivers...its just stupid.
