Ripping songs from ipod to computer...

i know its possible to do, but i cant seem to do it myself. i have downloaded three different programs that say they do it, none of which have worked.

does any1 know of a program that can successfully do this? i want to do this to get all of my music onto my new laptop without downloading it all again.
