Problem reading data DVD burned with Roxio

I burned a data "backup" dvd with Roxio Creator, and re-formatted my sister's computer. This disk has all her data on it. (If you look at it, you can tell it definitely has a lot of data written to it) Windows refuses to read it. I installed Roxio Creator to maybe see if only Roxio can read the DVDs? No. Nothing can read this DVD. I have tried many programs to try to "recover data", not working.

Any ideas? My sister is going to murder me if I don't get the data off of this disk for her :laughing:

How many computers have you tried the disk in? Could be the disk drive.

When you say it refuses to read it, do you mean it just shows as blank?

Did you finalize the disc so it could be used?

Have you tried burning this data with another DVDRW drive?
COuld be a faulty drive on the source machine
