Good speakers to buy?

I am currently looking for a new speaker system for my computer and since I don't have much of a clue as to what is good when it comes to speakers, I was wondering if anyone had any system suggestions or could tell me what specs to look at while I am browsing.

I have a Realtek AC97 sound card and am looking for a good deal that can provide high quality sound without paying top dollar. (I previously had a Creative Inspire 5.1 system until one of the wires gave out leaving me with no sound)

I currently have Labtec 385 Pulse speakers. They are pretty cheap ($29.99), and produce amazing sound. It is a 2.1 system, and 500 watts PMPO.

get the logitech x530 if ur looking for a cheap and good solution
buy it at www.samsclub.com
would post a link but it expires but theyre like 50 bucks and the subwoofer is very good for the price. you can feel the air from the hole from a good 6-7 feet away. it is truely amazing for the price.
