memory upgrade

i have two sticks of 256 mb of ram=512 of corsair xms 3200 ram. I want to upgrade to at least a gig so i can run battlefield 2, i was wondering if I have to buy the same type of ram or if i can buy something like ocz ram.

you do not have to buy the same as long as they are the same as far as all being ddr for example

so even if it is a different speed, it will work as long as its ddr

Yup i have two sticks on my computer. two different speeds, different amounts of ram, different brands and it works fine. There might be limitations as far as your mb but other than that should not be a problem
