I have room to toss in a 20 dollar desktop speaker set. Could drop the i3 to a Pentium and 650ti to a 650 or 7850 and probably afford a Windows 7. All like I said, not as good as the OP is looking for. Not if he needs LCD and the rest with it.
1TB? Gonna lower performance more to stay within budget. At this budget after adding Windows and speakers you are looking at running a Pentium (SB) based processor with lower graphics or drop to a lower grade AMD quad in favor of more GPU power. I wouldn't get Windows 8.
Edit: Actually the more I think about it you would probably be better off grabbing a 700 dollar laptop. A refurb Asus or a good Black Friday deal off Newegg with an i7 and 660m or something.
