Driver help

Okay so about a month ago i bought a Gateway P6860FX from my buddy. (Gateway P-6860FX Laptop reviews - CNET Reviews specs here)

and it had Windows 7 on it, and it was nice and all, but some of the programs I was trying to run on it weren't compatible with it. So I decided to reformat it to Windows XP last night and that was a mistake lol. I can't locate any of the drivers for the machine. So could anyone point me in the direction on where i could acquire them? If you could that would be big help.

You might want to see about going onto Gateway's website and see if they have any Windows 7 Drivers for your notebook.
Failing that, try the windows vista drivers.

nvida has driver support for the 8800 video card on their website
chipset would be on intel's website.
Network card.... If you are lucky, it's intel or realtek. Good luck if it's a broadcom.
Sounds cards might be tricky.
