What do you guys think... If i got a really good Graphics card can my PC Runs the latest games like Doom 3 and upcoming games like Half Life 2

AMD Athlon XP 2500+
512 DDR RAM
40GB Hard Drive

So if i add a Good Graphics Card to this to replace my MX 440 Can i run the latest games??

Of course.
A FX 5900 or a radeon 9800 (not SE) would give u a nice boost and will play doom3 fine with ur setup.
Both are excellent value cards and will serve u well even for ur next cpu/mainboard upgrade.

Yea, get the Nvidia GeForce 5950 Ultra or 6800GT. Your games will play unbelievably with one of those.

9800 pro should do. i would say a 6800gt might be held back by the proccesor,i think, so u shouldn't get that one. u would notice one hell ofa boost from the gfx upgrade, and im sure u'll be happy.

Okay, thanks for the replies, i may overclock it to a AMD Athlon XP 3200+, as i heard that it is pretty easy to do if i chuck in a good fan

The only problem being the my idle temperature is 56 Degrees... Will have to get another fan
