windows xp missings sounds

hello it is for me a frustating time to try to fix this maybe somebody can help me ...I just lost my windows xp sounds I just have a messenger sounds ....but the windows xp log on browser,windows log off ,and downloaded sounds etc. dissapeared,I been aske all the microsoft newsgroup and seems like this people doesn,t know ...I allready check the sounds area in my computer,also I noticed when I try to created a event sounds and browsed and play iin the windows media player doesn't have a sound...?????..please help ,I installed a media keyboard and this can cause this problem....? ...thanks

Go into computer themes and select Windows XP theme........... It should reset and fix your windows sound.
